Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-01-draft · Last updated September 2026

This policy describes what RefundFlightWiFi collects, why, and who it is shared with. It is a working draft.

What we collect

We collect only what a refund request needs.

  • Contact details: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
  • Flight details: airline, flight number, travel date, and the airports you entered.
  • Purchase details: the amount you paid, the currency, and the provider if you know it.
  • Evidence: screenshots and receipts you upload, and any notes you write.
  • Outage records: when you reported an outage started and when you marked it restored. These are your own reports, not network measurements.
  • Authorization records: the name you typed, the time you signed, the document version, and the IP address and browser used, so the authorization can be evidenced.
  • Payment records: a Stripe customer and payment method reference. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach RefundFlightWiFi's servers.

How we use it

To review your claim, to prepare and submit a refund request on your behalf, to keep you updated, and to charge a success fee if money is recovered.

We also use aggregate, non-identifying counts — for example how many travelers reported an issue on a given flight — to show flight-level report pages. Those pages never expose names, contact details, evidence or claim values.

Who we share it with

The airline or connectivity provider handling your request, and only what that request needs.

Our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and Vercel (hosting). Optional analytics and error reporting are only used if enabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

How it is protected

Evidence files are stored in private storage and served only through authenticated requests scoped to the person who uploaded them. Database access is restricted by row-level security so one traveler's records cannot be reached with another's credentials.

Administrators can see claim records in order to process them.

How long we keep it

Claim records and evidence are kept while a claim is open and for a period afterwards so we can evidence what was submitted and what was charged. You can ask us to delete your account and evidence.

Your choices

You can turn flight reminders off at any time from a flight or from your account. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing support@refundflightwifi.com.

Cookies

We set one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and one short-lived cookie to attribute a referral link. If analytics is enabled, that provider may set its own cookies.
